Program Description

We are looking for part-time interns in high school, college, and beyond to work a minimum of 15 hours a week for 5 month contract periods. We offer our exceptional interns with the opportunity to be promoted to management. Our interns engage in focused learning experiences where they receive guidance and resources to apply knowledge and skills to their emerging professional lives. These are unpaid internships, but our program provides flexible hours for any day of the week and time of day. Our interns all work remotely. Our interns local to the Gloucester, MA area may also have opportunities for in-person meetings and events depending on the project they are assigned to.

Requirements

At Seaside Sustainability, we want our interns to be passionate about their work and about our mission of promoting environmental sustainability. In regards to education, interns working for Seaside Sustainability should at least be in high school. Prior work experience is not necessary for interns but will help your prospects. Certain teams will be looking for certain skills and specific job experience is considered. For more information on the variety of skills needed by a team, visit the Intern Roles page.​

What kind of general skills are needed?
-Passionate and dedicated to making a difference in the environment
-Good virtual communication skills
-Comfortable working in teams
-Good time management skills
-Willingness to learn and work outside of their comfort zone
-Basic knowledge of communication technology (Google Workspace, Zoom, Email)
-Leadership skills
